supporting teens & young adults
Engaging counseling, customized to client interests.
Hi, I'm Lish.
Life can be tough, and I feel fortunate to support clients in navigating the many changes occurring during teen and young adult years. Depending on your interests, I like to incorporate art, music, animals, or narrative therapy techniques into sessions. After all, this is all about you! You'll find I strive to assist clients in feeling comfortable and at ease in sessions. Typical appointments are online but if you are based near Montgomery, TX we can meet in-person.
I'm genuine and relatable in my counseling approach. Above all, I'm on your side and an ally in your journey. I also enjoy supporting parents of clients if requested. I commonly work with those working through anxiety, depression, trauma, and recovery. I have had experiences working at a Betty Ford outpatient center, a private practice, a community health agency and shelter. I earned a Masters degree in Counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and have another graduate degree in Human Resources. Prior to offering therapy, I spent a number of years in career and life counseling roles at several universities.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life and I hope to share the positive impact of the human-animal bond with clients. Following Natural Lifemanship practices, I'll offer equine/horse-assisted therapy in early 2025 out of Magnolia.
